He completed his primary education in his hometown of Nagykálló and then continued his studies at the Korányi Frigyes Greek Catholic Secondary Grammar School, where he is currently a senior in the German-Hungarian bilingual class.

One of his hobbies is robotics, which he began pursuing about five years ago as part of an extracurricular club. Over these five years, he has achieved several competitive successes, including at the Samsung – Solutions for Tomorrow competition and in the national rounds of the World Robot Olympiad, where he placed 2nd in the Future Innovators league for consecutive years. His project received a special award at the 2024 Stockholm Junior Water Prize Hungarian finals, advanced to the second round of the 33rd National Youth Innovation Competition, where he received commendation, and reached the finals of the 32nd National Conference of Student Research Societies with his project. With his third-place finish at the XVII. Scientific Poster Competition, he had the opportunity to attend XXVIII National Student Conference in Káptalanfüred where his fellow researchers elected him Deputy head of the Applied Sciences and Technology Department.

In addition to robotics, sports play a significant role in Gergő’s life, as he swam competitively for over 10 years and later played basketball; nowadays, he enjoys trying out various sports.

Language learning is also a strong suit of his, as he holds advanced-level complex language certificates in both English and German, which have proven useful in his travels and participation in Erasmus+ student exchange programs.

It’s an incredible honor to be a part of such a movement. For me, it’s a tremendous experience to engage in discussions and exchanges of ideas with talented peers. I also want to use my position as Deputy head of department to promote the Student Researchers’ Movement, as I believe many of my talented friends haven’t heard of this great opportunity yet. KutDiák is a community where everyone can find their place.
