During his high school years, he dabbled in all the natural sciences, from biology to physics and computer science, eventually finding his true path in the realm of chemistry. Alongside science, he also engaged in poetry and public speaking, but it was the world of chemistry that truly captivated him. He believes that science — especially the natural sciences — cannot be fully learned from books alone and is a strong advocate of hands-on education.

Outside of his studies and scientific pursuits, he spends his free time in nature — cycling, hiking, and photographing. His most loyal companion on these adventures is his camera. A dedicated fan of both classical and modern music, he enjoys everything from Paganini’s violin concerts to contemporary hits.

In elementary school, he passed an English language exam at the C1 level, and by the end of high school, he achieved the same level in German. At graduation, he was awarded the Erdős Pál Plaque for his scientific achievements and diligence over four years. He actively contributed to the student council, assisting wherever he could, and took charge of setting up sound and lighting systems at many school events. He even repaired the school PA system when it broke down. At student council-organized events and several performances by the school’s teacher band, he captured unforgettable moments as the photographer.

In 2023, his research titled “Cobalt Complexes from the Drawer” earned him a place at the TUDOK Life and Environmental Sciences Thematic Conference, where he later won the Grand Prize at the TUDOK Carpathian Basin Conference in the chemistry, biochemistry, microbiology, and biotechnology section. With this honor, he was invited to the XXVII National Student Conference, where the electoral assembly elected him Deputy Head of the Life and Environmental Sciences Section of the National Association of Research Students, and in 2024, he was promoted to Section Head.

Following his Grand Prize, he joined the cancer research of the HUN-REN TTK Medicinal Chemistry Research Group for a year, where after the world of inorganic complexes he became acquainted with enzymes, drug molecules, and organic synthesis. Currently, he is immersing himself in the world of science as a first-year student in the Chemistry with Medicinal Chemistry program at the University of Manchester.

Before TUDOK, I thought competitions were just about unending preparations and, for a few, winning, while for many, it meant losing. KutDiák introduced me to a whole new world, opened many doors, and through it, I became part of a community where I truly found my place.
